First I was working at a big school (which I do in real life but the school was different in the dream). The bathrooms were disgustingly messy because at the end of the days we have giant paint fights. I find out the school is closing from a big corporation. The guy running that wanted to trick me with something and give me some shot in my arm which I refused. Then I see two students I know in real life who had no home if the school shut down, so I consider adopting them even though I didn't feel I was ready to be a mom. The one kid was hiding with me in the bathroom as I was taking a bath and he had scales in his back like a lizard. I tried to peel them off, but his dad showed up and told me I had to leave them in him. The kid didn't want to go home with his dad.
Dreams often reflect our subconscious thoughts, feelings, and experiences, and they can be highly personal. However, I can help you interpret some common themes within your dream:
Work and Environment: Dreaming about your workplace, especially a school, may indicate feelings about your current job or environment. The messy bathrooms could symbolize the chaos or challenges you face at work. The paint fights could represent creative expression or conflicts that arise in your professional life.
Threat of Closure: The school closing down can be symbolic of feelings of instability, loss, or fear regarding your current situation. It may reflect anxieties about job security or changes in your life that feel out of your control.
Ritual of Refusal: The attempt by the man to inject you could signify a feeling of being coerced into something uncomfortable or unwanted in your life. This part of the dream suggests your desire to maintain autonomy and reject pressures from external influences or expectations.
Adoption and Responsibility: Consideration of adopting the two students suggests a nurturing instinct and a desire to help those in need. This may reflect your own worries about the well-being of others and feelings of empathy. However, your hesitance indicates uncertainty about taking on new responsibilities, especially if you feel unprepared for them.
Scales and Hiding: The student with scales and the act of hiding together may represent vulnerability. The lizard scales could symbolize transformation, protection, or the idea that the child has hidden aspects that he is struggling with. The fact that you were attempting to peel off the scales may indicate a desire to help him shed his burdens, while also acknowledging that some struggles need to be left intact (as per the father’s advice).
Conflict Between Protection and Authority: The presence of the father indicates the conflict between familial responsibilities and the desire to protect the child. This tension highlights the struggle between wanting to intervene in someone else’s life versus recognizing the boundaries of parental authority.
Overall, this dream suggests themes of concern for others, conflicts within your work environment, feelings of helplessness regarding situations outside your control, and a struggle with personal readiness for responsibility. It may be worth reflecting on your current relationships, responsibilities, and any pressures you feel in your life that align with these themes.
